AC - AC Aceca
The AC Ace was available from 1953 and the following year 1954 AC came out with the Aceca. The Aceca was the closed version coupe of the AC Ace with a very useful large rear hatchback door. Although the wheelbase was the same, the Aceca was 2 inches longer overall, and some 125 kg heavier. The engines used were AC's own 2 litre six whose design originated in the 1920's but it was still useful for 85 and 100 hp depending on what documents you see! By 1956 there was a more expensive optional Bristol 2 litre to put under the bonnet, with a quoted 120hp. Toward the end a small number of the Aceca were built with the 2.6 litre Ruddspeed tuned Ford engine.
AC Aceca tyre size, whether the AC Aceca-Bristol or with AC engine, was fitted with 5.50x16 tyre size originally, and Blockley produces the perfect 550x16 tyre for the AC Aceca, which will transform the handling of these AC's. See full details of this tyre at the link below.
