Alfa Romeo - Alfa Romeo Junior 1300 & 1600
The 105 series Alfa Romeo GT 1300 Junior models started production in 1965, followed by the 115 series GT 1600 Junior coming in 1972, which Alfa Romeo marketed as the 1.3 GT Junior and 1.6 GT Junior toward the end of production in 1975.
The Alfa Romeo 1300 Junior Z and 1600 Junior Z (Z for Zagato) models had bodywork designed by Ercole Spada. As with many Zagato designs, these are a little radical and ahead of their time and so it took a little while for the populous to come to accept the new shape. The Alfa Romeo GT1600 Junior Zagato was based on the GT 1300 Junior, with Zagato doing the rest, incorporating a cam tail, excellent all round visibility and and a Alfa Romeo badge through which air was fed to the engine. The 1300cc Junior Z was built from 1969 and by the end of 1972 the 1300cc was replaced with the 1600 Junior Z, along with small differences such as a different front bumper, larger rear lights and various other stylistic updates. Production continued to 1975.
