Alfa Romeo - Alfa Romeo Montreal
The Montreal Expo in 1967 had on display a concept car by Bertone, designed by Marcello Gandini. Within a few years this concept was evolved into the Alfa Romeo Montreal, a 4 seat potentially Grand Tourer, which was available from 1970. The Montreal was fitted with a 2.6 litre V8 engine, a detuned version of the quad cam all alloy racing T33, with fuel injection and dry sump. The chassis was based on that of the Giulia GTV coupe. The Montreal was an expensive flagship model, built between 1970 and 1977.
Alfa Romeo Montreal tyre size was originally 195/70VR14. This size is no longer available in a tyre suitable for a period car so the almost identical 205/70R14 size is used now, and Blockley produces this 205/70VR14 size, with the same V (149mph / 240kph)) speed rate.
