Alfa Romeo - Alfa Romeo Spider 1750 Veloce
The Alfa Romeo 1750 Spider Veloce was the model that replaced the earlier 1600 Duetto. The Spyder Veloce car had the more powerful 1750 GT engine (1779cc) which was an improvement on an already good performance. Restyled by Pininfarina, the more rounded rear was replaced with the cut off square tail, resulting in a much larger boot space. A 1300cc Spider was added the following year 1968.
Tyre size for 1750 Spider Veloce: Unlike the earlier Alfa Romeo models, the 1750 Spider was fitted with 14" wheels with 165R14 tyre size, and Blockley produces the perfect good speed rated 165HR14 tyre, with period authentic tread pattern and steel belt construction. Original fitment size is always best, but anyone requiring a wider tyre can use the 185/70VR14 size which has the same diameter but with a little more width, a tyre size Blockley also produces.
