Allard - Allard P2

The Allard range starting in 1946 comprised of three models (J, K and L types). The Allard P type came later in 1949 as being the 3.6 litre two door saloon built until 1952. And it was in one of these cars that Sydney Allard, and Guy Warburton drove to win the 1952 Monte Carlo Rally, with Allard employee Tom Lush (later to write the history of Allard) as navigator. Following this in 1952 a new Allard P2 Monte Carlo was made offered with the staple 3.6 litre Ford Pilot or larger Mercury engine. At this stage the Allard P type became known as the Allard P1.

Original tyre size for the Allard P type (both P1 and P2) was listed 6.25x16 which is a size no longer available. Blockley produce an excellent radial equivalent 185VR16 tyre size, with good speed rating and steel belt construction. If a cross ply is wanted we manufacture a 16" Blockley tyres also, and full details of these tyres can be seen below. Get in touch for advice, as we are Allard owners ourselves.
