Alpine Renault
The Alpine was the the work of Renault dealer and Rally driver Jean Redele. His first Alpine was the A106 that went into production in 1956 using the Renault 4CV as it's basis, the A106 winning its class in the Mille Miglia. When Renault brought out their Dauphine, the Alpine graduated to the A108, after which came the sensational A110 in 1963 (by which time Renault had taken over the company) which remained in production to 1976. There were many versions of the Alpine, using engines from the Renault 8, 12, 15 and 16.
