Alvis - Alvis 14/75
The Alvis 14/75 was built from 1927 and was the first Alvis to have a six cylinder engine. A 63mm x 100 mm giving a capacity of 1870 cc with the Alvis overhead valve design, quoted in period as producing 62 hp. With its larger bore size, the Alvis 14/75 evolved into the Silver Eagle model. Alvis 14/75 production carried on to 1929.
Alvis 14/75 tyre size was originally 500x20. Blockley has produced this size at the behest of Alvis owners who wanted something better than the low grade 20" tyres that are otherwise available. Our price for this highest quality tyre with the period correct tread pattern the Alvises left the factory with is also reasonable when compared to the alternatives, which we are able to do because we sell our tyres direct to the end user, without the assistance of the Classic car tyre wholesalers and their margins in-between.
