Alvis - Alvis Speed 25
The Alvis Speed 25 became available from 1936, with a much larger seven main bearing 3.6 litre (3571cc) engine compared to the Speed 20 that it superseded. The Speed 20 had the problem of being a little under powered, especially if fitted with heavier coachwork, so this larger engine in the Speed 25 now largely cured this shortfall. The Alvis Speed 25 would bodied by the majority of the British coachbuilders, but most of them had very handsome bodies from Charlesworth.
