Alvis - Alvis TB14
After the introduction of the first post war Alvis model the TA14 in 1945, the Alvis TB was introduced a few years later in 1948. The 1892cc engine specifications and chassis length remained identical to the TA14 but for the twin carburettor set up. But with the lighter open 2 seater sports bodywork the TB14 saved some 3 hundredweight (150kg) in weight. The front grille of the TB14 was something to behold! Production of the Alvis TB14 continued to 1950, after which a different and more traditional front end car was introduced, with the new 6 cylinder engine . . . .
Original tyre size for the Alvis TB14 was 6.00x16. We would suggest the Radial tyre equivalent Blockley 185R16, but if you would like to have a cross ply tyre give us a call as we have something you'd like!
