Alvis - Alvis TB21

The Alvis TB21 was introduced simultaneously with the TA21 model in 1950. The TB21 was the open sports version built on the same chassis, which was quoted as making a saving 2.25 hundredweight (115kg.) in weight over the saloon. Unlike it's predecessor, the front end was far more conventional with an Alvis radiator. There were only very minor mechanical differences to the saloon, other than the extra carburettor and some 30bhp plus a different rear axle ratio that could pull a higher top speed due to the TB21's lighter weight. AlvisTB21 production lasted into1952.

The TB21 were now the smaller 15". Tyres for the TB21 were originally 6.40x15 which equates to the radial equivalent tyre size 185VR15. See full details of this tyre below:
