Autobianchi
Autobianchi grew out of the company which that started by Edoardo Bianchi which originally made high quality bicycles, then motorcycles and into the 1900's some very high quality motorcars (including racing machinery built for the early Targa Florio's) as well as trucks. At one stage Bianchi was one of the largest Italian car producers. Post war in a new factory the Bianchi company was out of the luxury car sector and concentrated on bicycles, motorcycles and trucks, and by 1955 the company was restructured with new partners and the new name Autobianchi, the first Autobianchi offering being the Bianchina, based on the Fiat 500. Bianchi family involvement in the Autobianchi company lasted to 1968, after which it was owned by Fiat.
