Bentley - Bentley Continental

The Bentley Continental project started in 1951 and was announced in 1953. This was a new car worthy of the sporting Bentley name, a car that would carry 4 people and be capable of 120 mph in silence, and returning good fuel economy! H.J. Mulliner were responsible for producing the light weight with minimal frontal area bodywork of these streamlined fast back saloons, The only odd thing about them being a traditional looking conventional radiator shell at the front. The engines were initially the "big bore" 4.5 litre (with higher compression and other work), but this engine was enlarged further to 4.9 litres which led into the S Series Bentleys engine configuration. The Bentley R Type Continental was produced until 1955.

Original tyre fitment for the Bentley Continental was 6.50x16. We would recommend radial tyre size Blockley 185VR16 - see full details of this tyre at the link below
