Bristol - Bristol 408
The Bristol 408 was introduced in 1963. From this period on it was a case of development based on the previous 407 model by a privately owned company. The Bristol 408 kept the same capacity Chrysler engine and the chassis remained the same 9ft 6 inches of most Bristols, but the bodywork was changed. The roof line was now lower and the body shorter, and the front of the car changed considerably with a much wider grille opening. Shortly after in 1964 there was a Bristol 408 Mk2 option as well, with the marginally larger Chrysler 5211cc "318" engine.
Bristol 408 tyre size was 600x16 originally. We would recommend the radial option 185R16. Blockley produces a high speed
