Delahaye - Delahaye 175
The Delahaye 175 was listed from 1947, a model that had an all new chassis with independent suspension to all 4 wheels. Three chassis lengths were built with a wheelbase of 2.95 metre which was the Delahaye 175, a 3.15 metre which was the Delahaye 178 and the longest at 3.35 metre called the type 180. Sticking with a 6 cylinder engine, a new engine of increased 4.5 litres capacity and with 7 main bearings was built which was mated to the electrically operated Cotal gearbox. These Delahayes were listed into 1952 after which production ceased.
Although during the post war era all models of Delahaye were fitted with 17" wheels and tyres (which Blockley produces), the Delahaye 175 was fitted with 18" wheels and 650x18 tyres.
