Facel Vega - Facel Vega Facel II
The Facel Vega II available from 1962 was the sleeker replacement for the HK500, having more of the look of the Facellia and marketed as the fastest 4 seater car in the world. Using the well proven 6.3 litre Chrysler it was capable of 135mph with the 3 speed Torqueflite automatic, or 150mph using the more powerful version of the engine coupled to the French built (Pont a Mousson) manual gearbox. Later on installed with the 6.7 litre Chrysler engine it's performance was further improved! The Facel II was the swan song of the company who had built a luxurious machine, refined and silent yet with phenominal performance, at a reassuringly high price.
Facel Vega Facel II tyre size was originally 6.50x15 which is radial equivalent 185R15. If a wider tyre was wanted we also produce a 205/70VR15 tyre, while we have also supplied the 215/70VR15 size for the Facel II also.
