Ferrari - Ferrari 250 Spyder California
The Ferrari 250 GT Spyder California was produced at the suggestion of California Ferrari dealer John von Neumann. An open top Ferrari for the hot and dry US sunny State that could eat up the miles on the road and have some potential competition use too. Luigi Chinetti organised everything and Scaglietti designed and built the bodies, during the lifetime of the 250 Spyder between 1957 and 1963. The first 50 cars were on the long wheelbase 250GT chassis and the final 56 Spyders built on a shorter wheelbase.
Original tyre size for the Ferrari 250 GT California Spyder was 185VR16. Later cars were fitted with 185VR15 size. Wider, as well as wider and larger 15" tyres are also available from Blockley should these be required.
