Ferrari - Ferrari 365 GTC & GTC/4

From 1968 the Ferrari 365 GTC and its Spyder version 365 GTS evolved directly from the earlier 330GTC and GTS. Except now the Colombo V12 engine was increased in capacity to 4.4 litres. Bodywork differences were minor details, the air vents moving from the sides of the wings to the bonnet top. The 365 GTB and GTC were produced up to 1970.

The replacement was the very modern looking  Ferrari 365 GTC/4 with Pininfarina bodywork, the 2+2 based on the chassis of the 365GTB/4 "Daytona". Compared to the Daytona the chassis was now softer sprung and had power steering as standard, while to make it more user friendly, the engine was less powerful than the 2 seater Daytona. But teh real reason may be the fitting of side draught Weber carburettors, rather than the usual down draught  so the bonnet line could be lower. The 4 cam Ferrari 365 GTC/4 cars were only available for a short period of 1971 and 1972.
