Fiat - Fiat 1100
The Fiat 1100 got an all new monocoque body in 1953 and this 1100 model ran in various types being continually upgraded until 1969. Things started off with the all modern Fiat 1100 (103) using the prewar engine which came in a basic and slightly less basic version! For 1954 the Fiat 1100 TV (Turismo Veloce) had considerably more compression and power using a twin choke carburettor, which were used by some for competitions and some chassis ended up with special bodywork. For 1955 the new style Fiat 1100 Familiaire was introduced, a 5 door kind of station wagon with fold down seats with a large rear door. This 1100cc Familiaire now had larger tyres to cope with the potential extra weight being carried. There were more bodywork updates referred to as 103E , 103D , 103H , 1100D and finally 1100R from 1966. The Fiat 1100D continued to be built in India until the year 2000 initially as the Premier President and from the mid 1970's as the Premier Padmini .
The earlier Fiat 1100TV (Tourismo Veloce) had tyre size 5.20x14 which is radial 145R14 tyre size.
Fiat 1100 D introduced 1957 had tyre size 145R14 .
Fiat Millecento from 1958 had tyre size 145R14 .
Fiat 1100R tyre size was originally 5.20x13 which is equivalent radial 145R13 size.
Fiat 1100R Familiaire (5 door Estate introduced 1954) had tyre size 5.60x13 which is 165R13 equivalent size.
