Fiat - Fiat 131 Mirafiori
The Fiat 131 "Mirafiori" was built over a ten year period between 1974 and 1984, coming as a replacement for the 124 model. It was a rear wheel drive car with an overhead valve engine, later replaced with twin overhead cam. Initially the cars were 1.3 (1297cc) or 1.6 litres (1585cc). The Fiat 131 models came in three body styles, 4 door , 4 door Estate, and 2 door, with each version having various states of specifications. For 1971 the Fiat 131 got a modernising look with larger headlights and now a twin cam version of the engine becoming the Fiat "Supermirafiori". The writer, who had for many years driven Mk1Golf GTi's borrowed a Supermirafiori and was impressed with the performance, but nearly went through the windscreen (in pre seat belt days) when the brake pedal was applied gently and the car stopped. Those servo brakes are fantastic!
The tyre size for the Fiat 131 Mirafiori was 165R13, and Blockley produces this 165HR13 tyre size. The Fiat Supermiafiori was also fitted with the 165R13 but the sportier models were fitted with the wider (but same diameter) 185/70R13 tyre size. Smaller models were quoted with 155R13 also in some catalogues and also a wider version 175/70R13 The Diesel engined Mirafiori was quoted with 165R13 and 175/70R13 tyre sizes. Blockley makes all these Fiat Mirafiori tyre sizes with excellent quality 165HR13, 185/70VR13 and a 175/70VR13 tyres - see full details of these Mirafiori tyres below:
