Frazer-Nash - Frazer Nash Post war.
The original High Speed Frazer Nash model was renamed the Le Mans Replica after a third place finish Le Mans in 1949. Future Frazer Nash models were the Mille Miglia and Targa Florio, and finally a few Sebring models which was the end of the line for the Frazer Nash cars fitted with Bristol engines, the tall 2 litre engine continually developed with gear driven cam, air straighteners on the carburettors, was now having some age to it, and more modern designs were taking over. Bristol built engines to Frazer Nash's different specifications, with different port size, larger sumps and many other detail changes, in particular to keeping the oil temperature down due to the higher revs used in competition. The earlier built Frazer-Nash chassis differed from the later Mk2 frames.
Post war Frazer Nash tyre size: All Frazer Nash post war cars have 16 inch wheels and will benefit from being fitted with Blockley 550x16 tyres. We made this tyre initially for use on our own Frazer Nash, and you will not find a better handling tyre, which is also popular with the AC Ace . . .
At least one Frazer Nash we know of was fitted from new with radial millimetric 165R400 tyres, so we show details of this tyre size also.
Some cars have been retrospectively fitted with 15 inch wheels, no doubt at a time when you could not get anything decent in the way of 16 inch tyres. We will have tyres to fit 15" wheels, but better still we can also assist in putting the car back on 16" with new wheels.
