Gilbern - Gilbern Genie
For 1967 Gilbern had an entirely new model called the Genie. This was a bigger car than the previous Mk1GT and could just about carry 4 people. The new Ford V4 and V6 engines were now available to them and Gilbern tried out the V4, but the cars that had them were eventually converted back to fitting the 4 cylinder MG 1800cc engine. Gilbern decided to stick with just the Ford 3 litre V6 engine, using the MGB chassis parts they were using in their 1800GT model.
The original tyre size for the Gilbern Genie was 165R15 and Blockley can supply the 165VR15 size, with a good speed rating and period correct tread pattern. For those wanting a wider version of this tyre size there is the optional 185/70VR15 size. See full details of these tyres below.
