Hispano Suiza - Hispano Suiza I6
The smaller six cylinder 3,750cc Hispano Suiza I6 was fitted with a smaller 85mmx110mm engine (compared to the H6 with 100x140), a model that was listed by the factory from 1925 and built at the Hispano Suiza Barcelona factory. The capacity meant the Hispan Suiza I6 fell into the 20CV tax category. The I6 was also easier to work on as the engine was designed with a detachable cylinder head. Otherwise, the I6 was based on the companys existing H6 chassis, but having lower gear ratios and a slightly shorter chassis, so the outcome was a less costly model. Production continued to 1933.
Tyre size for the Hispano Suiza I6 was originally 820x120, a beaded edge / Clincher type tyre, and at some stage that we can't determine the exact date of, the I6 was also offered with a 21" wheel option, possibly with size 525 or more likely 600x21, all sizes of which Blockley produces - see details below:
