Honda - Honda Accord
The Honda Accord first appeared in 1976 as a 1600cc three door hatchback family car, based on a lengthened chassis of the previous Civic, to make the new Accord a larger car. The following year a 4 door saloon was added, at which time a 1751cc engine was also available. For 1981 the cars were given a new look, but were mechanically the same 1751cc engine, although European cars had a smaller 1.6 litre engine fitted. For 1982 a 1829cc engine was made which was later fitted with Hondas first fuel injection system. In mid 1983 the cars were restyled yet again. The second and third generation of Accord were built in the USA also.
