Jaguar - Jaguar Mk8

The Jaguar Mk 8, introduced in 1956, used the chassis of the Mk7 which had a lineage back to the Mk5. Stylistically the Mk8 looked different with a different front grille, altered rear wheel spat shape and a one piece curved windscreen. It was first shown at the 1956 London Motor show alongside the XK 150, both now having a more powerful version of the 3442cc engine, now quoted with 210 bhp, incorporating larger valves, but with great care as to not affect the torque, using what the factory called the B type cylinder head which ensured the port size was kept on the small side.

Jaguar Mk8 tyre fitment was originally size 6.70x16. We would recommend the radial equivalent size of 185R16, and Blockley produces an excellent period correct steel belt construction high speed rated 185VR16 tyre. We can also supply a cross ply tyre for those requiring this.
