Lagonda - Lagonda 16/80
The 2 litre six cylinder Lagonda 16/80 was produced for 1933, which replaced the earlier 2 litre four cylinder model that had been in production since 1926. The engine for the 16/80 was supplied by Crossley, which would then be stripped at Lagonda, checked and modified as necessary, and also fitted with twin SU carburettors. The 16/80 was also offered with a preselector gearbox option. Lagonda was to go into receivership shortly afterwards but the 16/80 model finished production shortly before this happened. So what became of the 9 year guarantee that these Lagondas were sold with is anybody's guess!
