Lagonda - Lagonda Rapide
The Lagonda Rapide was the new Lagonda model for 1961, which had a 4 door bodywork design by the Italian coachbuilder Carrozzeria Touring, and consequently incorporating their light weight bodywork construction clothed in aluminium. Based on a DB4 frame fitted with a new DeDion tube rear suspension that was used for the first time at Newport Pagnell. The engine of the Rapide was 4 litre capacity, and although having 4 doors was advertised as the "Finest of Sporstscars". Production continued to 1964.
