Lancia
Lancia is one of the great innovative Italian marques from the early days of motoring and later well known for their monocoque V4 Lambda models of the vintage period to the little rear engined Aprillia and Ardeas, which were so far ahead of their time. Post war the V6 Aurellia appeared in 1950 with the transaxle at the rear, which was the work of the great Jano, which eventually led to the Flaminia range. By the early 60's came the Fulvia with disc brakes and a tilted engine, followed by the Beta. Only Lancia as a manufacturer had so much flair, but the Lancia companies financial issues led to a takeover by Fiat in 1969. But as a company Lancia still have that practical cutting edge "something" that is always ahead of (or different to) what the more "normal" customers are used to.
