Lancia - Lancia Gamma
The Lancia Gamma had all the ingredients you would be wishing for in 1976. It had a low mounted lightweight 2.5 litre flat four all alloy engine, a 5 speed gearbox and front wheel drive, which enabled the Gamma 2500 to have a really low bonnet line on its Pininfarina body, which was the design work of Aldo Brovarone. The Gamma came in a 4 door (Berlina) or 2 door coupe. There was also a fuel injected Gamma 2500 IE. Shortly after, there was the Gamma 2000 with a reduced bore size to get the capacity under 2 litres for the Italian purchase tax threshold.
