Maserati - Maserati Kyalami
The Maserati Kyalami was produced from 1976, and the first new Maserati model to be built under the ownership of Alejandro de Tomaso, who took over ownership in 1975 from Citroen. To save development expense and more importantly time, the De Tomaso Longchamp was used as the basis for the new Maserati Kyalami, fitted with the V8 Maserati 4.2 litre in a lowered, lengthened and widened Longchamp chassis, with new bodywork based on the Longchamp, but tempered by Carrozzeria Frua into a Classic Maserati product. For 1978 a larger capacity 4.9 litre option was also available. The Maserati Kyalami was built to 1983.
Tyre size for the Maserati Kyalami was originally 205/70R15. Blockley manufactures this 205/70VR15 (W speed rated) tyre for the Kyalami, full details of which are below.
