MG - MG SA
The MG SA was a sports saloon and available from late 1935, based on the chassis of the Wolseley 18, upgraded with Lockheed hydraulic brakes. The engine was a straight six overhead valve engine of 2288cc, increased marginally to 2322cc in 1937. Supplied with a handsome saloon, some of these cars had fabulous looking coachwork by Charlesworth (the 4 seat tourers) or the Salmons Tickford Coupes with their low lines and ample space inside. These MG SA's looked incredible value when compared to the new Derby Bentleys at a quarter of the price tag! Production of the MG SA ran to 1939 when things were halted due to the war.
