MG - MG WA
The MG WA was introduced midway through 1938 as the much larger evolution and alternative to their SA, with production running in parallel. The WA was a large car which was offered as a saloon, a tourer (by Charlsworth) or a Tickford drophead coupe. The WA had a wider track allowing more room inside, with larger brake drum diameter going up from 12" to 14". To propel the WA the engine was increased in capacity to 2561cc while the opportunity was also taken to raise the compression ratio which added another 20hp. Production of the MG WA was halted not long after it was introduced in1939.
