MG - MG YB
The MG YB was the last in the series of the Y Type MG available from 1951, a 4 door saloon fitted with the 1250cc XPAG engine of the previous Y type. But the wheel size was now reduced from the earlier models 16 inches to 15 inches, which along with modified suspension (uprated shock absorbers plus an anti roll bar ) markedly improved the handling. Production of the YB lasted for a short period through to the end of 1953, when it was replaced with a more "modern" looking MG, the ZA.
MG YB tyre size was originally quoted as both 5.50x15 and 5.60x15 which works out at radial equivalent of 155R15 and 165R15, so either tyre size would be suitable. With the smaller Blockley 155HR15 size you have a choice of standard and whitewall versions, while our 165VR15 is available in standard black.
