Morris - Morris Isis
The post war six cylinder Morris Isis, built from 1955, was the new Morris replacement to the post war Morris Six of 1948. The Morris Isis ( a name Morris had also used prewar) had the BMC C series six cylinder 2639cc engine in a stretched version of the 4 cylinder Morris Oxford chassis. For 1956 the new Isis was again based on the Morris Oxford that was available concurrently, with the differences required to accept the longer 6 cylinder engine, and with various upgrades. There was also a Morris Isis Traveller option. The Morris Isis production carried on until 1952.
Morris Isis tyre fitment: originally the tyre size was 6.00x15 for the earlier car and 6.40x15 for the Isis Series 2. The radial equivalent is 185R15 size, and Blockley produces the perfect 185VR15 tyre.
Note that we also produce the 19 inch tyres for the pre war Morris Isis which was built from 1931 to 1935 (and Blockley produces tyre sizes for all other pre war Morris cars).
