The 1720cc Peugeot 401 (including models 401D, 401DL and 401DLT) was shown earlier but available from 1935 using an enlarged version of the earlier 301, but the Peugeot 401 was only in production for a year, offered with nearly a dozen different alternative bodywork options
The original tyre size for the Peugeot 401 was 160x40, using a wheel rim diameter of 400mm. Today there is a dual marked tyre available marked 150/160x40 at a hideous price, so owners of cars looking for this tyre size very often fit the alternative Blockley 165R400 tyre which has the identical overall width.
