Reliant - Reliant Scimitar GTE SE6
Using the same 3 litre V6 Ford as the SE5, the Scimitar GTE SE6 was introduced in 1975 as a more refined and slightly enlarged replacement, the extra length allowing a little more room for rear seat passengers. When Ford stopped making the Essex V6 engine, Reliant needed something to replace it, and this came in the form of the Cologne (German) made but smaller capacity Ford 2.8 litre which actually had the same power output, but with less torque lower down. The Scimitar SE6 models (SE6, SE6A and SE6B ) were in production until 1986.
