Renault - Renault Primaquatre KZ
The Renault Primaquatre was available from 1931, called the Renault KZ8, fitted with a 4 cylinder 2120cc engine, which put it in the 11cv tax bracket. For 1933 it became the KZ10 with a longer chassis (with a KZ11 variant for use as Taxis), which were evolved to the KZ18 and KZ24 for 1934 and 1935 respectively. For 1936 a wholly new Primaquatre was built, called the type ACL1 with 2.4 litre engine.
Renault Primaquatre 11cv models KZ8, KZ10, KZ11, KZ18 and KZ24 were originally fitted with metric tyre size 140x40, having a 400mm (15.75 inch) wheel diameter. The later ACL1 was also listed with the 140/40 tyre. Today there is a 130/140 tyre size available at a very high price, so the alternative is to use a more up to date radial 165R400 tyre, and Blockley produces the perfect 165HR400 tyre - full details below:
