Saab - Saab Sonnet
The Saab Sonnet was made from 1967. It had been a Saab Sportscar design prototype from the 1950's which had been shelved. Later with some bodywork redesigning the car was finalised and manufactured, based on the GT850, and fitted with a fibreglass body. The first few hundred cars had the 841cc 2 stroke engine, followed by the 1498cc V4. For 1975 the Sonnet (now Sonnet 3) was redesigned to suit the US market with its pop up headlights, and the V4 engine increased in capacity to 1698cc. Production of the Saab Sonnet continued to 1974.
Saab Sonnet tyre size was originally quoted as 155R15, and Blockley produce this steel belt construction 155HR15 tyre - in both standard as well as a whitewall version. Blockley also produce the slightly larger 165VR15 tyre size which some people use, but our 155HR15 is the original factory fitment size. See full details below.
