Siata - Siata Daina
The Siata Daina was built from 1950, a sports 2 seater using the mechanical parts of the Fiat 1400, with the engines having the new cylinder heads and other parts that Siata specialised in. Engines were available in 3 capacities of 1.4, 1.5 and 1.8 litres. Bodywork was by Farina, and most examples were the Grand Sport, with a few coupe's also made. Most of the Dainas were built between 1950 and 1953 when Stabilimenti Farina close down, after which far less were made with bodywork by other coachbuilders, mostly Bertone.
