Simca - Simca 1100
The Simca 1100 was the Simca answer for a front engined front wheel drive car which placed it between the Simca 1000 (known as the Mille) and the Simca 1300. When Chrysler took control of Simca they approved the project which was rolled out in 1967 with the Simca "Poissy" engine displacing 1120cc. This was a 4 door with a hatchback which was up to date with rack and pinion steering and disc brakes. In various specifications the Simca was a 1100LS, 1100GL or 1100GLS and was marketed in the UK as the Simca 1204.
