Simca - Simca Aronde
The Simca Aronde was produced from 1951 using the 1221cc engine, originally as the 9 Aronde, which was replaced in 1955 by the 90A Aronde fitted with a larger capacity 1290cc engine, and finally the restyled Aronde P60 from 1958. A new 5 bearing engine was developed and fitted from late 1960. Simca Aronde production with it's various bodywork types continued to 1964.
Simca Aronde tyre sizes:
- The Simca Aronde up to 1954 was listed with cross ply tyres size 5.50x15 and the radial equivalent size is the 155R15 size, which Blockley makes a superb examples of with both standard and whitewall versions.
- From 1955 the Aronde was fitted with 14" wheels and fitted with size 5.60x14, which is radial tyre equivalent size 165R14.
- From 1961 some models continued with the 14" wheels, while other models were fitted with 15" wheels and listed with "165R380" tyre size, which is 165R15 tyre size.
