Talbot - Talbot T14 LS
The Talbot Lago 2500 Coupe T14LS was introduced in 1955, with the all new 4 cylinder twin overhead camshaft 2491cc engine. Later on in 1957 the same car was fitted with a V8 BMW with smaller bore size than standard to give 2476 cc to bring the car into the 14cv tax band. These Talbot Lago 2500's sold in the USA as the Talbot Lago America. By 1959 Anthony Lago sold out Talbot to Simca, and the last few of these unfinished cars were fitted with the Simca Ford derived Vedette 2351cc V8 engines, which produced quite a bit less power than the BMW V8 unit it replaced.
