Toyota - Toyota 2000GT
The Toyota 2000GT was a low volume production high performance sportscar available for sale from 1967. The engine was based on their already existing 6 cylinder 2 litre developed by Yamaha with a new overhead twin cam alloy cylinder head. Production continued to 1970.The project was a collaboration between Toyota and Yamaha, who also assembled the cars.
Toyota 2000GT tyre size was 165R15. Blockley produces a period correct tyre with steel belt construction and high V (149mph) speed rate - Blockley was the first tyre producer in recent decades to produce this tyre size with a V speed rate, and because the 2000GT had an estimated top speed of 137mph, this Blockley tyre with it's high speed rate and period correct tread pattern would be perfect.
