Triumph - Triumph Renown

Post war the Triumph Motor Co. became part of the Standard Motor Company, with the first models being the razor edged 6 light saloons. The Triumph cars post war were initially the 1800 from 1946 and the 2000 from 1948 (which was actually 2088 cc). The Triumph Renown was the larger of the saloons which was built between 1949 and 1951, which used the new chassis from the Vanguard, with the independent front suspension coil operated. The longer Renown Limousine version built shortly after kept the Renown model in production until 1954.
