TVR - TVR 2500
The TVR 2500 was built between 1971 and 1972. It used the M type chassis and was basically a TVR Series 4 into which a straight six Triumph 2.5 litre engine was installed. Triumph had gone through all the hoops of getting their 2.5 litre "six" engine certified for use in the USA in a reasonably neutered 105bhp format, so this was a good way of selling the cars into the USA. In the USA, the TVR2500 was marketed as Vixen 2500 .
TVR 2500 (or the American version called Vixen) and TVR2500M tyre size was originally 165R15 . Blockley produce an excellent period correct high speed 165VR15, which will transform the handling of the TVR - guaranteed.
