Vauxhall - Vauxhall Chevette
The Vauxhall Chevette, introduced in 1975, was produced by General Motors with the 1256cc overhead valve engine from the Viva HC with a restyled front and the hatchback of the Opel Kadette C . With it's 1.3 litre engine and light weight it had good all round performance. Apart from the 2 door with hatchback there was later also the a saloon and estate versions of the Chevette, plus the Chevanne. I'd love to meet the marketing man that came up with that one! The rear wheel drive Vauxhall Chevettes were made to 1979. Best known now were the HC and HCS Chevette built for Rallying with their 16 valve 2.3 litre engines.
Vauxhall Chevette tyre size was originally 185/70R13, and Blockley produces the perfect high speed rated period correct looking 185/70VR13 at an attractive price.
