Volvo
The first Volvo car was produced in 1926 which were practical and reliable, and as such suitable for the harsh Swedish climate. The first postwar cars were the PV444, but at this time the main priority of the factory was making badly needed tractors and lorries, rather than passenger cars. The Volvo Amazon came in 1957, later with an uprated S model. By 1968 the capacity had gone from 1600cc to 2 litres. The P1800 introduced in 1961 spanned 11 years, this model being made famous in the series "The Saint" starring Roger Moore. The P1800 was followed by the Volvo 140 (1966 - 1974) and the model after that was the Volvo 240 series (1974 to 1993).
