Wolseley - Wolseley 1500

The Wolseley 1500, available from April 1957, was built using the Morris Minor suspension and floor pan, and fitted with the larger BMC B series 1489cc engine using a single carburettor, which was mated to a MG Magnette gearbox. There were variations and upgrades over the years, although the engine stayed basically the same. The Wolseley 1500 was in production until 1965. Compared to the BMC Riley version of the same car, the Wolseley 1500 had the less powerful engine using a single carburettor, as well as the smaller Lockheed brakes. But having said that he Wolseley 1500 sold in far greater numbers than the more sporty Riley badged version.

Wolseley 1500 tyre size was originally 5.00x14. A radial equivalent high quality 145R14 size is produced by Blockley, with a period correct tread pattern, and correct dimensions, with steel belt construction that will offer superb handling, which we guarantee.
