An inner tube made for tyre sizes 450x19 to 500x19 only, made on our own Blockley tooling. These metal valve stems are nickel plated, as they were in period. Nothing available elsewhere is anything like the quality of what we produce. We also produce a less expensive rubber stemmed tube.

Manufactured using the best material Butyl and also thicker than anything else available, as they were in period, which means that these tubes keep their air pressure for very long periods. The metal stems were how valve stems were before the rubber stem type started to become available in the late 1930's. Metal stems have advantages over the rubber stems (see our technical articles on this site) and will always be the choice for people racing and wanting something better. We made these tubes because there was nothing available that we liked, which is why we embarked on making our own extensive range Blockley superior inner tubes.  Note that Blockley manufacture this inner tube only for the 450, 475 and 500x19 tyre sizes. Smaller 400x19 has its own dedicated tube, as does the 350x19 have it's own particular tube, as things should be. And for a 450x18 or a 500x18 we produce a separate inner tube because at Blockley we make tubes that fit the tyres, not like the big Classic suppliers preference of having one tube with alot of widths and diameters listed on them ie our tubes for 18" and 19" tubes are different tubes, not teh same. And because we sell all Blockley tyres and tubes direct to the end user or restorer, avoiding the Classic tyre Wholesaler companies, it means the best tubes in the world cost little more than the cheaper made alternatives that these wholesalers supply. And don't forget to fit the Blockley rim bands in the wheel well if there are any spokes going to this region.
